HUBUNGAN KECEMASAN MATEMATIKA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PENALARAN SISWA SMP.--
Reasoning is important in learning mathematics. But on the other hand, mathematics is a difficult subject to learn. The form of negative student reactions that often occur in learning mathematics is students who feel anxious when dealing with mathematics. This study is a correlational study with a quantitative approach that aims to determine the relationship between mathematics anxiety and the reasoning abilities of junior high school students. Data collection techniques used are tests, questionnaires, observation and documentation. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII.1 SMP Yapi Air Batu totaling 32 students. Data analysis in this study used normality test, linearity test, and correlation test. From the results of the study it was concluded that based on the results of the correlation test calculation with a correlation coefficient value of 0,7775 at a significant level of 5%, it described the relationship between math anxiety and reasoning ability had a relatively strong relationship with a percentage level of 60,06% and the remaining 39,94% influenced by other factors.
