TEACHERS' DIFFICULTIES AND SOLUTIONS IN DESIGNING LESSON PLAN BASED ON 2013 CURRICULUM: A CASE STUDY AT SMP N 40 PALEMBANG.--



This study investigated the teachers’ difficulties and solutions in designing lesson plan based on 2013 curriculum. This study was conducted at SMP N 40 Palembang with two English teachers as the participants by using purposeful random sampling. In collecting data, the researcher used face to face interviews through open-ended questions. The interviews were conducted with two teachers through 12 items. These interviews followed six difficulties and three solutions in designing lesson plan based on 2013 curriculum. They were (a) students’ condition, (b) learning method, (c) delivery of learning material, (d) learning activities, (e) instructional media, and (f) assessment. Meanwhile, the solutions were (a) change the learning method, (b) students’ ability in general, and (c) the teacher's ability to teach.
