ENGLISH TEACHER'S DIFFICULTIES IN DESIGNING LESSON PLAN BASED ON 13 CURRICULUM: A CASE STUDY AT MTs PATRA MANDIRI PLAJU PALEMBANG



The purpose of this study was to identify the difficulties that faced by the English teacher of MTs Patra Mandiri Plaju Palembang in designing lesson plan based on 13 curriculum. The participants in this study were three English Teachers of MTs Patra Mandiri Plaju Palembang. This study used qualitative research and case study as the research methodology. In collecting data, the researcher used interviews. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The results of this study revealed that the difficulties faced by the English teachers in designing lesson plan based on 13 curriculum were: 1) some teachers difficult to adjust the learning materials with the time allocation; 2) The teachers had difficulties in arranging learning stages; 3) Some teachers had difficulties in designing assessment.
