TEACHER'S STRATEGIES IN TEACHING WRITING TO YOUNG LEARNERS AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OF SINGAPORE INDONESIA SCHOOL (SIS) PALEMBANG.--
The research was conducted to find out the strategies used by the English teacher in teaching writing to young learners, in this case, the fifth grade at the Elementary School of SIS Palembang. This study used qualitative research and employed a case study as the research methodology. The participants of this study were the fifth-grade English teacher and the students of SIS Palembang. In collecting data, the researcher used observations and interviews. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The results of this study revealed that the strategies used by the fifth-grade English teacher in teaching speaking were: 1) collaborative writing; 2) using graphic organizers; 3) modelling and guided writing.
