The role of parents and teachers is very important in the process of inculcating honest character in children. Parents are the most important educators in the household environment, while teachers are formal educators who will instill this honest character in schools. This study aims to describe the results of research regarding: (1) the role of parents in inculcating disciplined and honest characters during distance learning during the covid pandemic at MI Assegaf Palembang; (2) the distance learning process during the covid pandemic at MI Assegaf Palembang; (3) factors that support and inhibit the role of parents in inculcating disciplined and honest characters during distance learning during the covid pandemic at MI Assegaf Palembang. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research type by directly examining the field. The subjects of this study were parents, teachers, and sixth grade students. Data collection techniques by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the data analysis that has been done, the results of the research show that the role of parents in online learning shows an attitude of responsibility embedded in students, students take part in learning activities using whatsapp groups in which there are teachers and students. the implementation of online learning activities can run smoothly and there is good cooperation between teachers and parents. Shows that many parents are not ready for their children to study at home, they prefer their children to study at school. Parents' unpreparedness in online learning is also considered vulnerable to violence against children.The supporting factor is the spirit of parents who always educate their children to be disciplined and honest. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factor is that most children are afraid of being scolded by their parents for lack of confidence
