AN ANALYSIS OF TEACHER EVALUATION ON STUDENTS READING ACTIVITIES DURING THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC AT MAN 1 OKU TIMUR
This research was aimed to examined of teacher's evaluation on students' reading activities during the covid-19 pandemic at MAN 1 OKU Timur. The participants of this study were two English teachers, taken by using a convenience sampling technique. The qualitative method used in this research with case study as the research design. The data obtained from interview were analyzed using thematic analysis. The results of the study indicated that there are several types of reading assessment used by teachers during the covid-19 pandemic, namely: (a) online assessment (subjective and objective test), (b) portfolio assessment, (c) self-assessment. And there are several difficulties faced by two teachers in assessing the reading activities of students during the covid-19 pandemic, namely: (a) Difficulties on limited signal, (b) difficulties on Limited time; (c) Difficulties on the lack of interaction; (d) difficulties adjusting in teaching activities. It can be concluded that during the COVID-19 pandemic the teacher of MAN 1 OKU Timur used several types of assessments that could be used in online-based learning, and teachers also faced some difficulties in assessment activities in reading activities.
