SUBJECTIVE WELL-BEING PADA BADUT JALANAN DI KOTA PALEMBANG.--

This study aims to understand the forms and factors influencing the subjective well-being of street clowns in Palembang. This research used descriptive qualitative research. Subject in this study are street clown who works on the highway in Palembang. The research sample was conducted by purposive sampling, and four street clowns were selected. Data was collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The result of this study indicates that the subjective well-being of the subject can be a person who does not give up and is optimistic, can control emotions, is diligent in work, and has good relationships with friends and family. The surrounding community can overcome the problems faced, be thankful and trust Allah SWT for the positive and negative experiences they get in life. It is also influenced by several factors, temperament, and other personality characteristics that can make the four subjects survive the problems, withstand poorly treated emotions, be optimistic and struggle at work. The factor of good social relations affects because the four subjects get the support of family, friends from the same profession, and the surrounding community, which makes the subject able to adapt well and even get encouragement in work.
