STUDENTS' PERCEPTION ON THE USE OF GOOGLE TRANSLATE IN TRANSLATION CLASS AT UIN RADEN FATAH PALEMBANG.--
This study aimed to describe the students’ perceptions on the use of Google Translate in translation class at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang.The type of study was a case study designed by qualitative approach. Research participant were English study program students of 2018 at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang who were involved in translation class. The purposive sampling was applied to take sample and it gets 6 students as research participant consisting of three students who get score A and three students who get score B from class A (the class which students get best score). The technique of data collection was done by interview. Data analysis was applied by thematic analysis. The results showed that the 2018 English study program students at sixth semester in Translation Class at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang have negative perceptions in the use of Google Translate since they often rechecked when using Google Translate, lack of naturalness in translation result, and lack of equivalence in translation result.
