ABSTRACT Analysis of the Impact of the Existence of Modern Minimarkets on the Continuity of Grocery Stores in the Perspective of Islamic Economics (Case Study of Kelurahan Kebun Bunga Sukarami Palembang) ANDREKA SAPUTRA 1820602076 The recent growth of minimarkets is seen as a threat to grocery store traders. The competition that must be faced by small businesses is the rapid development of modern minimarkets, which has a major impact on the existence of grocery stores. Minimarkets are growing faster and there are concerns that over time it will have a negative impact on the grocery store business. In fact, the competition is getting tougher day by day. The presence of minimarkets in the city of Palembang already exists in various locations. In this study, researchers used qualitative research methods with direct observation to business locations and interviews to obtain the required information related to research. The object of this research is the impact of the existence of modern minimarkets on the business continuity of grocery stores. The subject of this research is the owner of a grocery store business in the Kelurahan Kebun Bungan Sukarami Palembang. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that: (1) The existence of a modern minimarket on the continuity of the grocery store business in the Kelurahan Kebun Bunga Sukarami Palembang has an impact on the grocery store business which causes a decrease in income results, the decrease in buyers who are very close to the grocery store business of approximately 300 meters, (2) The existence of Indomaret and Alfamart Minimarkets in the Kelurahan Kebun Bunga Sukarami Palembang in the perspective of Islamic economics causes unfair and detrimental competition, the fact is that consumers often experience deviations.
