The study took up the information and knowledge society subject and its implications for
information development in Tunisia as an example. And the study dilemma was represented in
presenting how much the influence of the information society on information centers and
facilities, and that's through defining the concept of this new society. And the fundamental
dilemma that the researcher is trying to address through this research paper is what is the
relationship between the society of information and development, and what are the methods
taken for integrating with the information society in Arab countries in general and particularly
in Tunisia? And the study has aimed to identify some features in the information society,
define it's characteristics, and the impact of information society and education and
communication fields in Tunisia. depending on the analytical and survey approach, in particular
on case study method.
