This research paper aims, based on its survey methodology, to research the study of the gatekeeper in investigative journalism, specifically in the Nereh network in investigative journalism, how the latter influenced his media tasks and roles, and how he became in control of the media implications in light of the new media. The researcher relied on the questionnaire tool distributed to the gatekeepers working in the network by means of a comprehensive inventory of the sample, according to which data was collected about the variables as they exist in the network. The results of the research indicated that the supervisor represented by the network manager is the first and last responsible for deciding to publish investigative journalistic materials and that professional and ethical are among the factors that the gatekeeper chooses to publish the material and that there is more than one gatekeeper within the Norig network for investigative journalism. The research recommended the necessity of continuing to train workers in the network on the latest modern technologies in gathering information and dealing with different sources of information before editing and broadcasting. The research also recommended making room for editors to select and publish the press material.
