Storytelling: the forgotten technology (E-Journal)
A survey entitled "Teaching with Stories" was administered to 76 teachers enrolled in technology classes at Universiti Brunei Darussalam. Even with high baseline scores reported at the beginning of the study teacher respondents scored significantly higher three months later after participating in some story-related activities. Almost all participants in the study registered higher scores on each of five factors derived from the 25 items on the survey questionnaire. The underlying assumptions which delineate the rationale for this project are identified at the beginning of this report and elaborated in the conclusion. On the basis of the rationale and the survey results the writer recommends that story methodology should be incorporated into the use of other forms of technology.
