Contemporary Supply Chain Management Through Integration with Knowledge Management by Grounded Theory Methodology and Content Analysis Study. e jurnal



The study is offering an evidence-based proposal of knowledge management with its escalating role in parallel with the growth of the supply chain management concept. Knowledge management is characterized by its interim functions with its attributes, especially in the domain of supply chain, whereas the need for knowledge in addition to the need of filling the knowledge gaps which is present. It is obvious to recognize that supply chain management is the dominant concept that is suitable to stand in front of the mega changes invading the globe, as customer needs; higher quality, speed,and innovation from all sectorsare needed. Importance of the study: to evaluate the most usable and matching model for management and strategic base in which traditional strategic concepts monopolized the management era for decades such as Michael Porter’s value chain, five forces, Just-in-Time, total quality management, balanced score cards, and others several theories are no longer effective.The study used two major methods they are grounded theory with a sample size of 16 experts in the study range, and content analysis on ten global studies. The study concluded that supply chain management is the optimum contemporary concept that easily can replace the value chain Porter’s model, in addition, the study defined clearly the three levels of intra-organization, inter-organization, and sustainable supply chains. Also, the study found the integration of KM with SCM as the base for the contemporary approach, which is parallelly dependent on critical success factors and the existence of advanced technology services. At the peak of findings, the study has developed the conviction in integration which is composed of Integration Mix 4Cs; communication, coordination, cooperation, and collaboration, arevital in the success of KM boosting the operations of supply chains.
