Issues in classroom management in an interactive distance education course. e-jurnal
Qualitative methods were used to identify and analyze issues related to a distance education course. While classroom performance does not appear to be a factor related to differences in remote sites versus the local site, interactivity among the students and between the teacher and the students tends to be affected from the compressed video format. Issues of classroom management, facilitation at remote sites, and responsibilities of students versus those of the instructor were identified as significant themes in this study. Components for more successful interactivity are discussed.
