laws in the mazhab. This article aims to study the historical development of ijtihad within the scope of a
mazhab - Takhrij al-Furuʻ ʻala al-Usul. The focus of the research will be on the definition of Takhrij alFuruʻ ʻala al-Usul, its importance, its historical development and its role in deducing Shariah rules
within the sphere of the mazhab. The study found that Takhrij al-Furuʻ ʻala al-Usul is a method that has
been used by scholars of the mazhab to derive a hukum. It has contributed greatly in expanding the
mazhab, deducing the laws within the boundary of the mazhab and ensuring that Shariah laws founded by
