Evaluation The Role of Electronic Journalism in Stimulating Local Tourism in Egypt. E-JOURNAL

Tourism has become a source of financial resources and a factor of economic development, so it must have its specialized media to clarify the tourism product of the state. The research aims to clarify the role of the electronic press and the methods used to activate and evaluate its role in activating local tourism in Egypt, and to submit proposals for its development. The research also relied on the descriptive analytical approach, and the distribution of survey forms to (28) press leaders, journalists and editors from the press institutions of the research sample, public newspapers, and tourist newspapers, and the survey forms were distributed to (50) local tourists. The study found that there is an electronic press to stimulate local tourism in Egypt, and that there are methods used to assess the role of electronic journalism in tourism activation, but there is a weakness in financial capabilities and a weakness in human competence capable of adapting to digital journalism. The study recommends the diversity of the use of electronic journalism such as video journalism, artificial intelligence.... etc., allocating a large space for tourism topics and activities, and training and qualifying distinguished cadres in the field of electronic journalism.
