Objective: "Awareness and understanding of the history of any society is essential for its progress. Searching through the local press of the past is considered as one of the pillars of the history of Iranian media. The media and the style of journalism, as well as the reason for using media among Kurdish people due to the lack of a central government, have been different from other countries and regions of the world. By reviewing the history of Kurdistan's media, it can be said that the elements that have been important for the world's media are different for Kurdish media. Therefore, the aim of this research is to examine, review, describe, and analyze the history of Kurdistan's media. This research is a descriptive-analytical study of the history of Kurdistan's media. This article aims to provide a new perspective on the history of Kurdistan's media from its inception to the Islamic Revolution of 1979, and to examine and analyze it. In Kurdish media, especially Kurdistan's press, elements such as freedom of the press, standardization and development of the Kurdish language, efforts to preserve the ancient culture of the Kurdish people, preservation and development of Kurdish traditional music and art in general, as well as the Kurdish community's awareness of the political situation, modernization of the Kurdish society, and historical.
