This thesis discusses the depiction of the film Summer Strike which shows the librarian profession, the aim of the research is to determine the competence of librarians and aspects of the behavior and appearance of librarians in the film Summer Strike. This research is a literature study in which Roland Barthes semiotic study approach was used the levels of denotative, connotative and mythical meaning in the film Summer Strike. The research results illustrate Ahn Dae Bum's skills in shelf activities, restoration activities, information technology skills, as well as knowledge of library materials and thirst for knowledge which are included in hard skills (professional). Ability in accuracy, responsibility, intrapersonal skills and interpersonal skills both with librarians and with colleagues, able to work together with time and communication skills in the soft skills (personal) possessed by librarians. The behavioral aspects represented by Ahn Dae Bum in the film Summer Strike show that librarians have extensive knowledge about cellulose, have expertise in science, interpersonal management skills, are thorough in doing things, have high sensitivity and empathy, and are good educators. Ahn dae Bum is often depicted with long hair and simple clothes, wearing a t-shirt, jogger pants and sneakers. In clothing does not have a prescribed uniform. The appearance is also not flashy, this reflects that librarians prioritize service over physical appearance.
